Straight answers on ordering, delivery, accounts and our products.

B&E Foods is an Australian wholesale food supplier. We process our own poultry and supply meat, seafood and foodservice products to restaurants, cafés, butchers, clubs, caterers and institutions from distribution centres in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Townsville. The answers below cover the questions new customers ask us most.

Ordering & accounts

Who can buy from B&E Foods?

Expand answer

We supply businesses, not the public. Our customers include restaurants and cafés of every cuisine, takeaway and fast-food outlets, clubs and bistros, butchers, pizza shops, supermarkets and independent grocers, bakeries, caterers, hotels, hospitals, aged-care and childcare providers, government and corporate contracts, and other wholesalers and manufacturers. You will need an ABN to open an account.

How do I open a trading account?

Expand answer

Apply online at befoodsonline.com.au/register. Enter your ABN, business and delivery details, then sign the credit application electronically. Your local B&E Foods office reviews the application and your sales representative will be in touch to confirm your account and delivery schedule. Once approved you can order online, in the B&E app or through your rep.

Is there a minimum order?

Expand answer

There is no minimum order value. Delivery is free once your order reaches the free-delivery threshold for your state — $200 in NSW, $150 in Victoria, $150 in Queensland, $200 in Western Australia and $100 in South Australia. Orders under the threshold attract a small delivery fee of $5 to $10.

How do I place an order?

Expand answer

Three ways: online at befoodsonline.com.au, in the B&E Foods app, or through your sales representative. Online you can save your regular lines to a Pantry list, reorder in a few clicks, choose a delivery date and see your order history and invoices.

What is the order cut-off for next-day delivery?

Expand answer

Place your order before the cut-off and it is delivered on the next delivery day for your area:

  • Sydney (NSW): 7:30 pm
  • Melbourne (VIC): 7:30 pm
  • Brisbane (QLD): 7:30 pm
  • Townsville (QLD): 6:00 pm
  • Perth (WA): 7:00 pm
  • Adelaide (SA): 9:00 pm

Orders placed after cut-off roll to the following delivery day.

Can I change or cancel an order?

Expand answer

Yes. You can edit or cancel an order online up to the cut-off time (Brisbane changes close at 6:00 pm and Adelaide at 8:30 pm). After cut-off the order is already being picked, so call your local office as early as possible and we will do what we can.

Delivery

Where do you deliver?

Expand answer

We run our own fleet from six distribution centres — Sydney (Blacktown), Brisbane (Ormeau), Melbourne (Laverton North), Perth (Wangara), Adelaide (McLaren Flat) and Townsville — plus regional depots in Newcastle, Canberra, Orange, Tamworth, the Sunshine Coast and Rockhampton. Together they cover metropolitan areas and most regional centres from Cairns to Adelaide and across Perth. See where we deliver for the areas each site covers, or enter your postcode when you register and we will confirm your delivery days.

Which days do you deliver?

Expand answer

Sydney and Melbourne metro: Monday to Saturday. Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide: Monday to Friday. Townsville and regional areas: two to three fixed days a week depending on your postcode. We do not deliver on Sundays.

Do you offer next-day delivery?

Expand answer

Yes. Orders placed before your state's cut-off are delivered the next delivery day. Typical delivery windows are 7 am to 7 pm in Sydney and Adelaide, 9 am to 8:30 pm in Melbourne, 6 am to 3 pm in Perth and 8:30 am to 6 pm in Townsville.

Can I pick up my order instead?

Expand answer

How do you keep products cold in transit?

Expand answer

Every order travels in our own refrigerated vehicles from a temperature-controlled warehouse to your door, and our facilities operate under HACCP food-safety programs. Chilled and frozen lines are kept separate throughout.

Products & quality

What do you supply?

Expand answer
  • Poultry — whole birds and every cut of chicken, processed in our own plants in Blacktown (NSW) and Ormeau (QLD).
  • Meat — beef, pork and lamb, including our B&E Prime beef range and partner brands such as Kilcoy and Australian Country Choice.
  • Seafood — Australian and imported prawns, fish, squid, scallops, crab and more, fresh and frozen.
  • Foodservice — dry goods, dairy, oils, sauces and frozen convenience lines.
  • Packaging and cleaning products for commercial kitchens.

Most lines are available fresh, frozen, portioned or vacuum-packed, in 15 kg cartons or 5 kg bags.

Do you process your own chicken?

Expand answer

Yes. B&E Foods began as a chicken shop in Canley Vale in 1991 and has grown into the largest poultry processor in Australia, with processing facilities in Blacktown, NSW and Ormeau, QLD. Because we produce it ourselves, fresh chicken is cut and packed to order — you are not buying from someone else's stock.

Can you supply custom cuts and portion sizes?

Expand answer

Yes. Our poultry and meat lines include diced, sliced, strip, schnitzel and butterfly cuts, skin-on or skin-off, bone-in or fillet, and fixed-weight portions. Tell your sales representative the cut, weight and pack size you need and we will set it up as a regular line.

Are you HACCP, Halal or SQF certified?

Expand answer

Our Sydney, Brisbane, Townsville and Perth operations are HACCP certified. Sydney, Melbourne and Perth hold Halal certification, and Perth is also SQF certified. All sites hold the relevant state food-business licences. Current certificates are available to account customers in the Booklet section of the online portal, or on request from your representative.
