B&E Foods was founded in 1991 by Bill and Lucy, whose vision and determination have been the cornerstone of the company's success. With a shared passion for quality food and exceptional service, they started the business as a family venture, driven by the belief in building strong relationships with customers and partners.

Today, their sons have joined the business, with Edward Dong serving as the Group CEO and Johnny Dong overseeing Production. With over three decades of history, B&E Foods continues to grow as a trusted and reliable food partner, while staying true to the family values of integrity, quality, and care.

The Journey Begins

Bill and Lucy Dong began their journey in 1991 with a small chicken shop in Canley Vale, laying the foundation for what would become B&E Poultry.

Our First Factory

In response to growing demand, we established our first factory in Smithfield, marking the beginning of our wholesale distribution to butchers and restaurants.

Facility Expansion

In 2010, we expanded our poultry processing and distribution into Queensland, establishing our current facility at 94 Burnside Road, Ormeau.

Rapid Growth

Due to rapid growth and increasing demand, we relocated in 2014 to our current facility at 25 Bessemer Street, Blacktown, where we expanded our range into the foodservice sector.

Reshaping Our Brand

In 2015, we took a bold step by rebranding from B&E Poultry to B&E Foods, modernizing our logo and redefining our business direction to reflect our growth and evolving vision.

Melbourne Expansion

With increasing demand, we took a significant step into the Melbourne market through the acquisition of Paul's Poultry, further expanding our reach and capabilities.

The Future Begins with Melco Foods

In 2018, we expanded our operations by establishing a cooking facility at 8 Bessemer Street, Blacktown. This milestone marked the launch of our brand, Melco Foods, dedicated to delivering innovative food solutions for the foodservice and retail markets.

Continued Growth

In 2019, we completed our national expansion into Adelaide, Perth, Rockhampton, and Townsville. This milestone marked B&E Foods’ official launch as a nationwide food and poultry supplier, serving all major states across Australia.

Our New Melco Foods Facility is Now Complete!

In response to the high demand for premium cooked products, we expanded our existing facility by 4,000 sqm in 2022. This expansion enhanced efficiency, fostered innovation, and reinforced our commitment to sustainable food production, ensuring top-quality products for our customers.

Strengthened Logistics

In 2022, we expanded our distribution network by acquiring two additional depots in Canberra and Newcastle, enhancing our service and accessibility for our valued regional customers.

Acquisition of 7A Bessemer Street Facility

With the increasing demand in the foodservice sector, we acquired a new storage facility to expand our product range and strengthen our supply capabilities for our customers.

Major Upgrades

In 2023, we completed a 4,000 sqm expansion of our Queensland facility, enhancing our foodservice operations and increasing production capacity to better serve our growing customer base.

Expansion into Sydney Fish Market

B&E Foods expanded into the Sydney Fish Market, enabling us to source and process fresh seafood daily, further diversifying our product offerings and enhancing quality for our customers.

New Facility in Perth

In 2024, we relocated to our new Perth facility at 58 Dellamarta Road, Wangara, enhancing our production capabilities and expanding our foodservice distribution capacity.
